We have one rule in our house - all children must be active. We don't care what sport or activity you do, but you will do something. NO COUCH POTATOES in our house. Since Garhett decided to not continue with baseball he has ventured in many different sports. This summer he has decided to try flag football.
Garhett is on the red team "Red Blast". He has such a fun time learning the game and then playing it. We have really seen an increase in Garhett's self esteem. He has been able to try the position of quarterback, and threw a beautiful pass to his teammate. He has played center and hiked the ball. He has even had the chance to run long and catch an amazing pass from the quarterback.
Of course Grandma and Grandpa have been to every game cheering Garhett on. We are so proud of you Garhett. I am so happy to see my son step out of his comfort zone to try all different types of sports. Great job Garhett!!!!

What a well-rounded kid! I think your philosophy is awesome. I don't know if you tried this sport, but my kids thought it was awesome- fencing. Sword fighting and Mom gets to hang in doors for practices and meets.
