Change - what does it mean to change? What does it mean to handle change? Some people love change and some people dislike change. Some people roll with the punches and some people resist and resist until change overpowers them. Some people create their own change. Sound familiar.
In the Morgan home, we have found each member in our family fits in each of those categories. So it makes life interesting when we do need to change.
As you all know and joke about, Scott handles (or creates) change with a new car every 6 months to a year. This seems to bother others more than it bothers me. :D
I fit into "roll with the punches" and "create my own" change. Since we couldn't sell our house, due to the people/banks just giving their homes away. We decided to take our home off the market and stay put. It just makes more sense to stay put in a place that we can afford, a place that completely fits our family, and a place that we call home.
So to handle the change of not changing our home location, I am creating my own change by doing home "change" improvements. I have a wish list of home improvements. And at first, Scott was feeling the "resistant" change, but now is rolling with the punches. :O) Love ya babe!
Our first stage of home change was rearranging the kids. Garhett is back to having his own room. Trent and Emmett are now sharing a room. Of course Paige is still on her own. We just moved her into the back half of the play room. All the kids seemed to embrace their change and rolled with it.
Our second stage of home improvement is repainting the inside of our house. We found that after 4 1/2 years and forgetting what color we painted each wall in all of the rooms. Trying to match is ridiculous. So we are starting over. A change with fresh paint. I am so excited!!!
There are more changes taking place now and over the next year.
Remember: Embrace change - You have the power to make change happen - We all need to change in some way.
